World Bank Group + Dasaran + RA Ministry of Emergency Situations = Launch of a new project

Dasaran Educational Center had a very special day today. We had the honor to host Mariam J. Sherman, Director of Strategy and Operations, ECA Vice Presidency of the World Bank Group, Mercy Tembon, Regional Director for the South Caucasus, Europe and Central Asia Region (World Bank Group), Aleksan Hovhannisyan, Senior Operations Officer at World Bank Armenia and Nora Mirzoyan, Reserach Analyst at World Bank Armenia. The meeting was held in the framework of Dasaran's new project on Disaster risk reduction and awareness-raising among school-students, implemented in cooperation with the World Bank Group, Republic of Armenia Ministry of Emergency Situations and the RA MES Crisis Management State Academy.

Our guests had a short tour at Dasaran, got introduced to the current activities and development prospects of Dasaran Educational Program, as well as attended the special practical training on "Immediate withdrawal and transfer of injured at the time of emergency situations", conducted by the President of "Sparta Survival Center" NGO, Trainer on "Security, safety and survival" and disaster risk reduction expert Spartak Hovhannisyan, in the frames of this new project.

Afterwards, our guests from the World Bank Group got a more detailed presentation of Dasaran's electronic school management platform and the opportunities it creates, as well as the recent achievements in the field of educational technologies.

The meeting particularly featured discussion of the first steps and phases of the new project on Disaster risk reduction and awareness-raising among school-students, implemented in the framework of cooperation between the World Bank Group, Dasaran Educational Program, Republic of Armenia Ministry of Emergency Situations and the RA MES Crisis Management State Academy.
